Aroma Fresh Enters Bangalore Through Launch of Three Unique Food Retail Stores

Bangalore, June 28, 2014: Aroma Fresh, part of Aroma Group of Companies, a unique food retail chain of pesticide-free food products, today launched three stores in Bangalore and thus made its entry into the Karnataka market. The store, ranging from 1,600 sq.ft to 3,000 sq.ft, offers over 200 varieties of food products which are zero-pesticide, nutrient balanced and natural products, retailed in a modern trade format. All products are grown in the company’s own farm using eco-friendly precision farming techniques, or at outsourced farms that follow strict quality and production protocols, set by Aroma Group of companies. The stores located in Jayanagar, Bellandur and Kalyan Nagar, were inaugurated by actresses Ramya, Suhasini and Vani Ganapathy in the presence of its Chairman and CEO Sajeev P K and Managing Director Ms. Anne Sajeev.


With own farms located in Gundlupet, Hunsur in Karnataka and in various pockets of Kerala, the company also sources organic products through its association with several farms and farmers across these markets. The farming activities are quality assured at every point, which is an incorporation of modern techniques and Indian traditional farming systems.


Aroma Fresh uses the technique of precision farming, which prevents the onset of pests and diseases by using organic and natural products. Precision farming directs the micro-nutrients into the plant root without disturbing the balance of the soil. The products available at the store are of a specific quality - high nutrition value, balanced with micronutrients like iron, zinc, magnesium etc. along with essential vitamins and minerals.


Commenting at the launch, Sajeev P K - Chairman and CEO, Aroma Group of Companies said, “Our entry into the Karnataka market was decided after understanding that there is a segment of potential customers, who understand products of this kind. With modern food retail being well appreciated and accepted, we opened three stores in Bangalore simultaneously, and aim to expand to other parts as well soon.”


The store stocks G.A.P-certified, pesticide-free product range which include fresh fruits & vegetables, cereals pulses, oils and a variety of food products and other lifestyle products, such as cleansers without detergents, aromatic oils, and others. Besides fresh farm produce, the outlets also stock pesticide-free pulses, millets, cereals and spices, tea, coffee, vegetable oils, produce from the wild - such as honey and bamboo shoot specialties, natural cosmetics, neutral soaps, aromatic and essential oils.


Commenting on the products sourced and stocked in the stores, Ajithkumar G S, Technical Head, Aroma Fresh, said, “Aroma Fresh as a chain believes in stringent quality protocols, while avoiding all classes of chemicals like pesticides, fungicides and herbicides. The chain takes preventive measures for pest and disease control, and employs precise bio-control agents and organic management.”


Aroma Fresh has devised an Internal Quality management system that is implemented in the farms by development organizations and NGOs. The production units are Global G.A.P certified, a prominent globally accepted certification mark for Good Agriculture Practice and sustainable agriculture.


With a dedicated R&D team, regular research and trials are conducted on various crops. The company has also been testing modern techniques in soil fertility management, control of pest and diseases with bio-control agents, controlled pollination, irrigation techniques and traditional crop management practices and techniques.


Aroma Fresh currently has five stores in Kerala and now, three stores in Bangalore.




Actor Suhasini inaugurates Aroma fresh premium retail outlets in Kochi, Apr 27 2014

Renowned film artiste Suhasini Maniratnam on Sunday inaugurated two premium retail outlets of pesticide-free agri-food chain Aroma Fresh at Panampilly Nagar and Tripunithura in Kochi. The launch was part of the expansion plans of Aroma Horticulture Products Pvt Ltd, which owns the Aroma Fresh brand. It sells GAP-certified pesticide-free fruits, vegetables, pulses, millets, cereals, spices, tea, coffee and other food products. Aroma Horticulture Products Pvt Ltd Chairman & CEO P K Sajeev, Aroma Fresh Director Smt Anne Sajeev and Aroma Group CEO Arvind J V were also present on the occasion.


Aroma Fresh also offers a range of natural cosmetic products, neutral soaps and cleansers, aromatic and essential oils and other lifestyle products. The company already has three outlets in Thiruvananthapuram. The aim is to open 20 outlets across Kerala in the next two years. The company is planning to scale up its production of fresh fruits and vegetables from the existing 45 Metric Tonne to 280 Metric Tonne by this year end.


The company’s expansion is in line with the growth of organic food market which is anticipated at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of around 15 per cent during 2012-2017. It uses eco-friendly precision farming technique to maximize the efficiency of resources like production inputs, manpower, energy and natural resources. Aroma Horticulture Products Pvt Ltd is a subsidiary of Aroma Group of Companies that has operations in India and the Middle East. Quality certifications are carried out by LACON India and have tied up with accredited labs to conduct regular pesticide residue analysis of the products. The company has linkages for production and value addition with different groups –ranging from the tribal community, farmers groups, women self-help groups and corporate plantation groups.

Wellness Initiatve by Aroma Fresh at Technopark

Aroma Fresh, a pesticide-free food product brand having outlets in Nandancode, Sasthamangalam and Kesavadasapuram hosted a wellness initiative ‘MISSION HEALTH’ at 5 pm on Jan 29th at Sangamam Amphitheatre, Technopark, Trivandrum. The program addresses the company’s mission to spread the concept to ‘eat Pure and stay Healthy’.


The event agenda addresses diet regimes and impact of what we consume and how it affects our lives. Holistically, Aroma fresh introduces health choices related to food consumption.


Dr. Jayakrishnan, Assistant professor (Cancer Prevention), Medical College delivered the keynote speech : healthy choices for healthy living.


Aroma fresh Senior Technical Manager, Mr. Ajithkumar G.S., talked about the choice of products and their processes and answered questions from the audience pertaining to the topic.


The other highlight of the event was the Zumba fitness dance by Anjali Jaindhanj, that charged the audience to stand up and cheer for the spread of good health.
